We understand the value of your data and take security very seriously at SuperControl. We also have a number of measures to ensure that the system is online as much as possible.

Security
- All pages are 128 bit SSL encrypted. SSL creates an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser to ensure that all data transmitted remains private and secure.
- Data is stored on a dedicated server & MySQL database. Access to the server and database is protected and only SuperControl administrators have access.
- All sensitive data is encrypted before being stored in the database.
- All data is password protected. No-one else has access to your data.
- Our server is scanned weekly by ControlScan for thousands of possible security vulnerabilities.
Network Security Certification
SuperControl retains the services of Systems Security Services who are experts in network security, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. They maintain an ongoing program of rigerous testing based on PCI DSS v1.2, British Standards Institute BS-7799 (ISO/IEC 27001), ICO Data Protection Act 1998, Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), and ISO/IEC 15408 Common Criteria.Hosting & Backup
- The system is hosted on a dedicated server located in a state-of-the-art data centre, based in the UK. There are no other websites running on this server.
- Only SuperControl administrators have full remote access to the server, including the facility to perform an emergency reboot.
- The server is monitored every five minutes by the third party monitoring service ippatrol.co.uk. If the server goes offline SuperControl administrators are notified immediately by email, text message and pager alert. This monitoring service shows an average uptime (system availability) of 99.9%.
- If any errors do occur they are automatically logged and details are sent immediately to SuperControl administrators.
- Data is stored in a powerful MySQL database. Full database backups are taken every half hour and stored on two secure servers in separate locations.
- The whole system is mirrored on a backup server located on a different network in a separate data centre. If the main server goes offline for any reason we can switch over to the equally secure backup server within a few minutes.
