Adam joined SuperControl in 2021 as a Client Care Advisor and quickly established himself as an invaluable member of the team. With a background in theatre and IT, he has always been a confident communicator, adept at handling complex and difficult conversations. In 2024, encouraged by his teammates, Adam transitioned into his new role as Partnership Success Consultant & Technical Liaison, a move that perfectly aligns with his skills and aspirations.

  • Past: Provided IT helpdesk support to 36,000 users in the NHS.
  • Present: Partnership Success Consultant & Technical Liaison
  • Future: At SuperControl, endless possibilities await – the sky is the limit!

“For several years, I found my calling as an IT helpdesk advisor, a role that marries my love for technology with my passion for assisting others. At SuperControl, I now oversee all company partnerships and integrations. My role in the product team is all about maintaining and enhancing our partnerships. I ensure our integration partners have everything they need, keeping the communication lines open and effective. It’s about more than just technical support; it’s about building lasting relationships. Transitioning from the NHS, I was new to the self-catering industry. It didn’t take long to realise that, just like in healthcare, people are the heart of this sector too.”

Enhancing Partner Relationships with Communication and Creativity

Key Skills:

  • Confident Communicator: Regularly engages with partners to maintain and improve relationships.
  • Proactive Supporter: Keeps the support team informed and updated about product partners, integrations and initiatives.
  • Innovative Thinker: Oversees help centre and integration page updates relating to SuperControl’s integrations, aiming to simplify and improve user experience.

“At SuperControl, we recognise the importance of personal connections. As the main point of contact for our partners, I understand their specific needs and work collaboratively to find solutions. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact of our efforts. It’s about being proactive, not just reactive. Marketing initiatives and team training play a significant role in this, helping to align our goals and strategies.”

Joining the Dots

“Joining SuperControl, I was struck by the contrast to my previous bustling NHS environment; our team here may be smaller, but it’s filled with remarkable talent. My role now focuses on connecting partners with SuperControl clients, ensuring that everyone is informed about the potential value they could add to our clients’ businesses. As the key point of contact for all partners, I bridge the gap between their needs and our solutions, creating strong, collaborative relationships.”

Looking for the cause, not the symptom.

“Every week brings something new and unexpected. Beyond reacting to queries, I place equal importance on being proactive and exploring new ways to enhance our value. We’re all encouraged to engage in special projects, with dedicated time set aside for this purpose. Whether it’s delving deeper into our own areas of expertise or learning about different departments, this broadening of knowledge benefits not just our clients but also our personal growth. At SuperControl, we’re not just confined to our designated roles; curiosity and the desire to expand our understanding are actively encouraged.”

What makes SuperControl, SuperControl.

“Values at SuperControl are more than just words; they’re a lived experience. Our ‘One Tribe’ ethos is evident in how we support each other and our work. We recently had a cross-departmental team gathering focused on using our collective knowledge to better serve our clients. This kind of open communication and willingness to go above and beyond is a testament to our supportive culture. We’re always learning and growing, driven by our dedication to delivering exceptional service.”

How I’ve Grown with SuperControl

  • Harnessing my strengths: Using my IT expertise and eagerness to learn, I’ve become the trusted authority on API matters.
  • Boldness and belief: Stepping outside my designated role to proactively seek out solutions.
  • Embracing collaboration: Joining forces with my colleagues and partners to create meaningful change.
  • Optimistic for the future: Welcoming each day as a new chance for growth and adventure with SuperControl.

“Transitioning to Partnership Success Consultant & Technical Liaison has been a significant milestone in my career. I’m eager to bring more value to our partners and the SuperControl community. The opportunity to innovate and make a difference every day is truly rewarding.”
