To help you use SuperControl to it’s fullest to maximise your bookings, here’s a quick guide to tactical pricing, specifically Discounts and how to set them up.

Go to Properties > Edit and next to your property select Discounts from the Edit drop-down menu. Then click Go.1

In this page you will see all of the different discounts that are available. They are: Late Availability, Multiple Week, Low Occupancy, Seasonal, X for the price of Y and an Early Booking discount. You don’t need to set up all of these discounts, just pick and choose which ones may work best for you.

Late Availability

Select this option to offer a discount if someone books near their arrival date. i.e. if a guest was to book tomorrow to arrive next week, the system would allow a late availability discount to pull through. A 10% discount for someone who books and arrives within 7 days would look like this:

3

Multiple Week Discount

Select this option to offer a discount if someone books more than a week, e.g. when someone books 14 nights or more. To do this click on Advanced options and the set it like this (based on offering 10% discount when someone books more than one week):

MWD

Low Occupancy Discount

Select this option to offer a discount if a guest selects a low occupancy, e.g. if your property sleeps six and a guest books just for two people, enter the percentage discount that you offer for each person, see example below (based on giving a 10% discount if one person books, and 5% discount if two people book):

5

Seasonal Discount

This is the most generic discount. Select this option to offer a standard discount for a period of time, e.g. if in the month of September you wanted to offer 10% discount, then set it like this:

6

X nights for the price of Y

This discount allows you to set-up a discount for example “4 nights for the price of 3”. Here you just need to select your date range and enter in Days Given and Days Paid. If the example was 4 nights for the price of 3 then set it like this:

7

Early Booking Discount

Select this option to offer a discount if someone books far in advance. E.g. if someone books today to arrive next year, you can give them an Early Booking discount. This discount allows you to set it up either by entering the number of days before arrival, or by setting up a date range. E.g. if someone books between Aug and Dec 2013 for a holiday between Aug & Nov 2014 set it like this (based on giving the guest a 10% discount):

What your guests see when they place a booking

When a discount has been set up it will display to the guest when they have selected the dates on the calendar on your website. See below an example:
