Supporting the Local Community at SuperControl

At SuperControl, we believe in the power of giving back. We’re a company that cares about the people and places around us. That’s why we introduced our community volunteering initiative, a programme that gives our team the chance to step away from their desks and make a difference in their local communities.

We know life is busy, and finding time to volunteer can be tough. That’s why our community volunteering initiative gives every team member paid hours to volunteer each year. It’s our way of supporting causes that matter while building a culture of care and connection.

One of our Senior Developers, Peter Graves, recently took part in the initiative to help Us2U, a charity that’s close to his heart. With Christmas approaching, the charity needed help packing food parcels for over 400 families. Peter joined the effort, helping to create packages filled with everything needed for a joyful holiday:

  • A full Christmas dinner for six
  • Breakfast goodies
  • Two additional meals, plus a cupboard pack with easy recipes
  • Festive treats like chocolate and biscuits

The difference this effort made was clear. Families not only received essentials but also felt cared for during a time when so many feel stretched.

Peter reflected on the experience:

“Volunteering with Us2U was a reminder of how even a few hours can make a big impact. It felt amazing to help families have a brighter Christmas. SuperControl’s support for volunteering means so much, and I’d encourage anyone in the team to get involved. The work charities do is vital, and they always need more hands.”

At SuperControl, we’re about more than software. We’re about people. From our customers to local communities, we believe small acts of kindness create ripples of positive change. Volunteering is one way we live those values every day.

We’re proud of our team’s commitment to giving back, and stories like Peter’s remind us of the difference we can make when we come together.
